Steps in buying a wedding dress
Ordering & Buying
Once you have chosen the dress and your measurements have been taken, you can run through any questions you have with the sales assistant. It’s important to make sure you understand the payment plan and if there are any extra charges for alterations/cleaning/steaming etc.
If the sales assistant provides you with a contract or receipt, then it’s also important to read through it all and understand it before paying for anything. You may also want to ask when the dress is expected to arrive (if it is being ordered) and if the store will get in contact with you to let you know it has arrived. It’s also worth asking about alterations (altering the garment to make it fit you perfectly), cleaning or steaming (getting out all of the creases in the dress after it’s been altered) and how long these steps are expected to take.
So before signing on the dotted line, it’s important you understand the contract, the remaining steps in getting the dress, how long it will all take, how much it will all cost and when and how much you need to pay.
