Steps in buying a wedding dress
When the dress arrives in the store, you will need to go for a fitting so that any alterations that are needed can be made. When you go for the fitting, it’s important to remember to bring the underwear and the shoes you will be wearing on the day so that the alterations staff will be able to fit the dress to you as perfectly as possible.
Another thing to check during your fitting is how to fasten up the back of your dress. If it is a zip or buttons then it should be fairly simple. However, if the dress needs lacing up, then you will need to bring a bridesmaid or the mother of the bride so that they can be taught how to do the dress up properly on the day. If you are having your train hooked up at the evening reception then you may need to discuss with the alterations staff how this will be done, and how to do it on the day.
Once the alterations are done it is a good idea to go for another fitting to make sure the alterations have been done correctly and the dress now fits perfectly.
